Full Description
Cropmarks of enclosures and rig and furrow recorded by the RCAHMS during aerial reconnaissance in 1990. An evaluation was carried out through part of the site by CFA in 1998 as part of the A92 upgrade (NO53SW0112). Further work was carried out through another part of the site in 1999-2000 by CFA (NO53SW0061), when a putative medieval double-ditched feature was excavated at NO52853404 (NO53SW0062). Three sherds of pottery dated to the 15th century were recovered along with two stone artefacts. The exact function of the feature is unknown, but it may have been for holding stock.
