Full Description
A large circular crop mark is visible on RAF air photographs. There is nothing to be seen on the ground at this spot. In 1958 the OS visited the site and reported that 'The site is at present under plough, and is a slightly elevated area (maximum height 0.7m) on a gentle east-west slope. High ground overlooks the site 300 yards to the northeast. The cropmark falls around the base of this elevated area, and may only represent a waterlogged area. However, Mr. J Watson states that large flat slabs are ploughed up from time to time in this part of the field. No suggestion of an earthwork remains'.
