Full Description
Possible site of cairns visible as a cropmark. Two urns found in 1867 circa 1ft below the surface. They were said to be slightly ornamented round the rim, 203mm in height and 152mm in diameter. Both contained cremations. No further information. A slight trace of a possible circular enclosure is visible as a crop mark just to the north of where the urns were said to have been found. This may be agricultural but could be the site of an earlier cairn which has been removed in antiquity. The trace is not a clear one.
ORDNANCE SURVEY, 1871, Ordnance Name Book, No61(1869) 39 (Bibliographic reference). SAB1360.
