Full Description
Cropmarks of a possible Roman camp, showing as a straight cropmark consisting of two straight sections separated by a gap, at which there is a change of direction of about 1 degree. A small V-shaped ditch was discovered by excavation, cut into loose gravel. J. K. St Joseph stated that it was 'most likely' that this is a Roman camp. The configuration of the ground limits the possible area to not much more than 30 acres.
