Full Description
Class I Pictish symbol stone of granite, bearing an incised bird (interpreted as a bird of prey, possibly an eagle) above a notched rectangle with z-rod. The symbols are still visible although they are quite weathered.
Four fragments of a Class III Pictish symbol stone are said to be preserved in the church, but their location is unknown. Two of the fragments are probably from the same upright cross slab.
The stone stands in the graveyard of Birnie parish church (MAB6377) on the north side, close to the Birnie war memorial (MAB6394).
