Full Description

Cropmarks of what appear to be two enclosures are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1988. Historic OS maps show the area to be agricultural fields in the 19th century, although on the mid 19th century maps much of it is shown as marshy, and it appears that the line of the cropmark in the western field follows the boundary of this abandoned area. Lidar coverage indicates a shallow ditch around the western edge of the area: it also shows what might be three small clearance cairns in the northern part of this ground.
