Full Description

Cropmark of a circular enclosure, with the faint trace of a possible ditch round base of rise in the south and east. A trial trenching evaluation (NJ26SW0809) carried out by Robert Lenfert Archaeology in July-August 2020, ahead of proposed residential development, found no signs of archaeological features, suggesting any cropmarks had most likely been ploughed out given the thin (circa 0.2 to 0.3 m) nature of the topsoil, along with abundant plough scarring in the subsoil.
