Full Description
The cropmarks of at least three possible ring ditches or circular enclosures are visible in two arable fields. There are also several dark 'blobs' which probably represent other archaeological features. One curved trace may represent a souterrain. A trial trenching evaluation and metal detecting survey carried out by AOC in 2021 (NJ16SW0162) in the north of the cropmarks area, found the presence of large patches of natural clay subsoil in the area that may account for some of the cropmarks visible.
