Full Description

Several ring ditches, pits and a possible square enclosure or square barrow are visible as cropmarks, though the area is slightly confused with later intrusions, which affects certainty. Aspects of these cropmarks probably relate to a Pictish barrow cemetery site. Remains could also be a possible searchlight station from the Second World War. There is a modern radio station built over part of two ring ditches. To the north is what appears to be a large group of small pits, which could possibly relate to a burial site, or pits where parts of aircraft or other items, were buried after the war. There are also traces of rig and furrow showing as cropmarks.
