Full Description
Site of church alleged to have been at Portlethen and called the Sod Kirk as its walls were made of sods, though the roof latterly was tiled. Existed from 1760 to 1816, when, being ruinous, it was superseded by a larger building at Cookney. The site was not found during field investigation (OS 1961).
