Full Description

A stone short cist was found in November 1837 which contained a skeleton laying on its right side with face towards the south and limbs bent upwards. The cist measured '3 feet in length, 2 feet in breadth, and 20 inches in depth'. Within the grave were the remains of an 'urn' (beaker) and jet beads (over 100) from a necklace that lay scattered over the breast of the skeleton.
