Full Description
Site of cairns. A cairn was demolished in the mid 19th Century, when a cist, covered by a slab, was found. It contained three urns, all of which disintegrated on exposure to the air. The urns contained ashes and pieces of burnt bones. There was, at one time, a large number of small cairns on the S side of the Hill of Tannachie, all of which were demolished for road metal, and at the bottom of each one, was an urn containing ashes. There is no mention of cists, and the urns were either broken or mouldered away. No trace and no further information.
