Full Description
Possible Cairn field, where flint arrowheads are also said to have been found. There is a large mound with a hollow top which probably represents a robbed cairn at NJ 2442 4401. There are also other ill-defined mounds, some of which may be stone clearance cairns of a field system. Unable to determine further remains or extent of surviving features because access and visibility is hampered by tree growth. Nothing is known locally about the flint arrowheads found in 1835.
ORDNANCE SURVEY, 1871, Ordnance Name Book, No16(1870) 76 (Bibliographic reference). SAB1360.
