Full Description
Site of battle, traditionally the site of battle between Mary of Guise, Queen Regent, with French soldiers, and the Scottish nobles in 1559-60. Part of this field was within the area of a walkover survey and subsequent watching brief by GUARD in 2017 (NO78SE0090) along a new electricity cable route. The field had been ploughed and no surface evidence of the site was visible.
