Full Description

Site of a mansion house, dating from at least the 17th century, and grounds, walled garden, outbuildings, offices and shelter belts. The OS 1st edition shows the house with outbuildings and what appears to be a walled orchard to the north, and to the east, across the road, offices comprising a U-plan steading, with two rectangular buildings to the west. By the time of the 2nd edition a lodge has been built at the entrance to the south on Brechin Road. The area is now a housing estate. A walkover survey (NO66SE0225) was carried out by Arcus in October 2019, prior to the development of a solar farm.
