Full Description
Alleged site of castle. An old castle and garden are traditionally said to have existed on Hill of Eslie, but apart from a few boulders there is nothing to support this. RCAHMS give the NGR as NO654 709. It may simply be fortuitous that there appears to be a faint rectilinear crop mark on a vertical aerial photograph taken in 1977. This may simply be formed by agriculture.
