Full Description
A single pit containing prehistoric material was recorded during a watching brief (NO65SE0110) on topsoil stripping for realignment of the A92 between the Hawkhill and Courthill bends. The small, sub-circular measured 0.51 by 0.47m in diameter and was 0.15m deep. It had been truncated by ploughing. It contained 26 fragments of friable prehistoric pottery, fragments of burned stone, charcoal and charred remains of crab apple, cereal and hazel shell.
