Full Description

Site of cairns. Two cairns, which stood 'on the height' west of the manse, were removed in the 18th century, together with a third, situated a little further to the northwest. Several inurned cremations were found which were claimed by later authors to have been in cists, but this appears to be a misinterpretation of the OSA which states only that they were under 'tumuli'. No traces visible when revisited in 1958 by the OS.
