Full Description
Site of possible road. The OS 1st edition shows a short section of track annotated as 'Pictish Road (Remains of)', the OS Name Book noting this as one of a series of short stretches of track bounded by stone walls or scattered stones. 'They have no ditches, but some of them lead to small 'camps' or sheltering places'. It is not clear if thus may refer to field boundaries and hut circles. A track is also shown through the wood, marked as 'Old road' on the OS 2nd edition. OS 1972 noted no trace in an area of dense afforestation and undergrowth.
