Full Description
Site of a possible chapel. Jervise recorded that the foundations of a chapel at the farm of Dalbog were removed by the farmer in the 19th century. The site was known to locals as the 'Chapel Kirkshed' and the field in which it lay was called 'Chapelfield'. Jervise also noted that the remains were circa 1.21-1.52 m high in 1760 and that a possible mediaeval coffin was at NO 587 718. The OS noted that there were no visible traces of the chapel and that the coffin was a simple stone trough. The site is marked on the OS maps from the 1st edition map onwards.
