Full Description
Site of a saw mill depicted on the OS 2nd edition map. Part of the site is occupied by a building on the 1st edition, although this is not annotated. Documentary research by J Gilliatt suggests that this was the premises of the Friockheim Woodturning and Sawmill Company, listed in the 1895 valuation roll as 'Turning Works, etc, Millgate', then producing bobbins. The turning works premises were recorded as empty on the 1915 valuation roll.
