Summary

Full Description

A trial trenching evaluation carried out by CFA in advance of proposed improvements to the A92, recorded a suite of pits and slots cut into the subsoil, concentrated in trenches 12, 13 and 14 at the south end of the area evaluated (NO53NE0090). A small assemblage of prehistoric pottery, tentatively dated to the Late Neolithic, was recovered from two of the pits. The northern field was further investigated in 2008 (NO53NE0120).
