Full Description
Alleged site of chapel. OS Name Book (1865) stated that it is considered that the old chapel for Aboyne and Tullich must have stood adjacent to the Chapel Tree, the remains of a large ash tree at NJ4844 9996. The chapel well was also near the tree but was destroyed circa 1860. OS site visit in 1968 noted that there was then no trace and no tradition of a chapel here.
ORDNANCE SURVEY, 1871, Ordnance Name Book, No4(1865) 7-8 (Bibliographic reference). SAB1360.
