Full Description
Site of a cist found in sand by a Mr Alex Bell of New Mains of Tealing about 1830, according to the OS Name Book. It contained human bones and an urn with ashes. Mr Bell kept the skull and urn for a number of years but it is now unknown what became of them. When the OS re-visited in 1967, they noted that the site falls on a slight rise in an arable field and that there was no further information regarding grave-goods.
