Full Description
A desk-based assessment and walkover survey were carried out by Highland Archaeology Services in May 2025 ahead of proposed woodland planting. Three areas were surveyed and a total of 13 features recorded, most of them enclosure walls on the periphery of the planting areas (NO39SW0088, NO39SW0019, NO39SW0090, NO39SW0091, NO39SW0094, NO29SE0119, NO29SE0120), but also a small cairn (NO39SW0089), possible footings of longhouses (NO39SW0092), remains of a building (NO39SW0095), remains of a lime kiln (NO39SW0032) and remains of a trackway (NO39SW0093).
