Full Description
Site of the former Glenmuick House. Built 1870 to the designs of Sir Samuel Morton Peto. It was three sides of a square, nine bays long on the wings. The northern end was dominated by a 25m high water tower over the porte cochere. The northern elevation had bays at the gable ends of the wings and on the centre tower. It was demolished in 1947. The 3rd edition OS map shows that the north and east sides of the house had earthworks around the perimeter. See NO39SE0031 for designed landscape.
