Full Description
Possible site of Souterrain (Wainwright's Airlie VI) At least one 'cave', possibly a souterrain, is said to have been found at Littleton of Airlie about 1794 to 1804 according to the 19th century antiquarian Jervise. The site or sites were not located by Wainwright in the mid-20th century, nor was there any local knowledge of such sites. A situation that was not changed by the time of the visit of the OS in 1977.
