Souterrain, (Wainwright's Airlie II) identical to Barns of Airlie (see NO35SW0019) and stated by Rev White in the NSA of 1843 as being one mile south of the other souterrain and built into a dry knoll, on the opposite side of a deep hollow but still within view of the other.

By 1861, when visited by the OS, the site could not be indicated. After searching the area in the twentieth century, Wainwright concluded that NO 3044 5040 was the most likely site since a shallow curved depression is visible, though nothing remains above ground. This fits White's topographical description of the site and suggests that this souterrain was at least as long as NO35SW0019 (ie 24.4m). When revisited by the OS in 1977, regular deep ploughing of this area had failed to expose the souterrain so Wainwright's siting cannot be substantiated.
