Full Description
A watching brief was carried out by Scotia Archaeology in February 2009 over the footprint of a new agricultural shed. The site lies in close proximity to the remains of a supposed Roman road. An area approximately 60 x 30m was excavated, during which topsoil and a small quantity of the underlying subsoil were removed. No structures, features or deposits of archaeological significance were uncovered and no artefacts of any description were retrieved from the site.
