Summary
A watching brief carried out in February 2007 during creation of a new approach road from Glamis village to the castle, recorded no archaeological features - the area had been heavily disturbed by the grubbing out of over 30 mature trees.

Full Description
A watching brief carried out in February 2007 during creation of a new approach road from Glamis village to the castle, recorded no archaeological features - the area had been heavily disturbed by the grubbing out of over 30 mature trees. However, five sherds of medieval pottery and an almost complete post-medieval bronze tripod cooking pot were found in the topsoil. Finds now with Angus Museums Service.
