Full Description

Site of a Battle. According to Warden, tradition states that a battle took place between the English under Edward I and the Scots under Bruce, in the north part of Ruthven parish, south of Saddle Hillock. The dead are said to have been buried under a huge cairn on the East Moor of Ruthven. The East Moor of Ruthven has not been located.
