Full Description
Site of a castle. Craig Castle probably stood at, or not far from, the position of the later house of Craig. It was destroyed by James VI in 1595. The castle is also said to have been destroyed in 1640. The lands of Craig passed from the Ogilvies to the Carnegies of Kinnaird in the 17th century. The house of Craig itself had been demolished by 1970 apart from one outbuilding. Two new buildings now occupy the site.
