Full Description
Two cottages, one square and one L-plan, are shown at this site on the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps (named Claybokie on the 2nd edition). Two larger cottages now occupy these sites but do not appear to be extensions of the earlier structures. The John Farquharson map of the forest of Mar, 1703, names Claybokie but does not indicate the nature of the settlement. Named Clabockaig on the Roy Military Survey map (1744-55).
