Full Description
A trial trenching evaluation was carried out by MAS in 2014 in advance of housing development. A total of 7 trenches were excavated but no archaeological features were uncovered. The extremely wet nature of the site suggests that it would not have been an ideal site for prehistoric occupation. A small scatter of unworked flint nodules in two trenches were within cuts for modern drains, and were probably brought into the site as quarry material for infil of the drainage trenches.
