Full Description

Site of a souterrain found in the 1860s in a natural hillock. The chamber was aligned north-south with a narrow entrance passage at the South end circa 0.61 m wide. The sides were 1.21-1.82 m high and built of rough boulders, clay and turf. The floor was of earth with the remains of a fireplace, covered with 76 cm deep of burned peat ashes, on the east side of the floor. No artefacts were found. No trace remains to indicate site.
