Full Description
A trial trenching evaluation was carried out by Cameron Archaeology in December 2020 ahead of proposed housing development. Excavation revealed a palaeochannel running southwest to northeast across the centre of the site, and furrows from rig and furrow cultivation running southwest to northeast. No earlier features were recorded, but two flints (one burnt) were recovered from the topsoil in Trench 1 (on the northeast side of the site).
