Full Description
A continuous curvilinear slot probably represented the remains of a foundation trench designed to hold upright timber posts. In the interior an irregular spread of stones, incorporating a quernstone, maybe the remains of paving. Three pits were also uncovered. The entrance to the structure was not located but is most likely to have been in the unexcavated half. This feature is more likely to be an enclosure rather than a hut/house. Found during watching brief of St Fergus gas pipe line by CFA in 1998 (NK04NE0083).
