Full Description

A series of pits were found during an evaluation of a gas pipeline in 2001 by CFA. Their purpose and date are unknown as yet, though samples have been taken for processing which may produce suitable material for radiocarbon dating. One pit in Trench 6 diameter 0.95m, 0.21m deep with another oval pit at the corner of the trench, dimensions unknown. Pit in trench 5 measured 1.45m x 0.75m and was 0.3m deep.
