Full Description
Site of Barony, variously known as Park, Parkcreichmond, Park de Crechmond, and Park of Creichmound. Although the lands of Park were, on occasion, amongst those included within the barony of Crimond, it appears that in 1513 it formed a seperate barony belonging to Andrew Hay. Despite other references to a barony of 'Park of Cremond' during the 16th Century, its lands were in 1696 a possession of Alexander Cumming of Crimond, his tenant 'in Park' being Robert Forbes, 'gentleman'. During the second half of the 18th Century it was in the possession of William Fraser of Park. The small estate of Park had previously belonged to the Rev John Jaffray, an episcopal clergyman.
