Full Description

An inscribed stone, found in 1818. It was in the garden at Aldie (NK0639) in 1868 but there is no knowledge of it there now. (The OS commented that 'On first appearance the inscription appears to be Runic, but assuming the transcription to be accurate, few of the individual letters are either orthodox or 'twig' runes').
