Full Description

Site of manor of Buthlaw or Buthley. In 1721 the manor-house of Buthlaw belonged to Charles Gordon, whose grandfather James had bought the barony of Buthlaw in 1664. Nothing appears to remain of it, and it is perhaps relevant that in 1723 Mr Ferguson states that there was 'no stone house' on the lands of Buthlaw.
