Full Description
Alleged battle site. The final battle between the Scots and the Danes is said to have taken place in the vicinity of Cruden Bay in the early 11th Century, and the Danes driven back to their ships moored in the bay. A church (NK03NE0049) was established on the battlefield in thanksgiving of the victory.

Said to have been fought in either 1012 or 1014.
