Full Description
Site of manor of Ardiffery, Arduffire, or Arfiray. Although it was numbered amongst the lesser baronies of Aberdeenshire in 1598, ninety-eight years later it was a possession of the Earl of Erroll. The proximity of Moat Hill (NK03NE0043) is perhaps significant.
KENNEDY, W, 1818, ANNALS OF ABERDEEN, 491 (Bibliographic reference). SAB957.
