Full Description
An archaeological evaluation was carried out in February 2017 by Cameron Archaeology prior to development. There were eighteen trenches excavated covering 5 percent of the site, with walkover surveys covering much of the rest of the site. Plough scars were recorded throughout the site, and two shallow furrows and a palaeochannel were recorded in the south-eastern section. An unworked beach flint was recovered from the surface of the field in the north-east of the site. There were no other archaeological features or artefacts identified during the evaluation.
