Full Description

An archaeological evaluation was carried out by MAS in April 2012 prior to construction of houses on the site of a saw mill. The saw mill, disused for circa 15 years, was of concrete construction of 20th century date. An area beside the north boundary of the site was fieldwalked during the evaluation and four trenches excavated around the saw mill site. Despite proximity to the church, the work did not find any archaeological features or finds.
