Full Description

A watching brief was carried out by Cameron Archaeology during soil stripping for a new house and access road. Two areas of burning and two pits were recorded. The pits were probably created by removal of earth fast boulders for agricultural purposes in the 19th century. The areas of burning appear to be shallow, and a sherd of 19th century pottery was recovered whilst cleaning the top of one. They are most likely associated with agricultural activity.
