Full Description

A watching brief was carried out by Cameron Archaeology in January 2021 during groundworks for services. Trenching revealed that this was an area of made ground, and no archaeological features were observed beneath the layers of hardcore and mixed demolition rubble. The rubble included blocks of dressed red stone, broken flagstones, roof slates and a small quantity of pottery sherds.
