Full Description
A small trench was excavated in September 2016 as part of the Book of Deer Project. This uncovered a cobbled surface, over which a layer of burnt coal had accumulated, and a wall foundation. This may be the remains of a cottage visible on old photographs, and the OS 1st/2nd edition maps, but which was removed for road widening in the 20th century.
