Full Description
A small trench was excavated in September 2016 as part of the Book of Deer Project in the lane to the east of Kemp Hall. Below the turf was a layer of rounded cobbles, probably the remains of a cobbled lane. A layer of tiny sherds of 19th century pottery had been trampled onto the surface,
