Full Description

A watching brief was carried out in March 2016 by Cameron Archaeology prior to the erection of a workshop and garage at a site within Aden Country Park (NJ94NE0077). A linear furrow and a field drain were recorded in the south of the area covered. A dump of clear window glass was recorded immediately on top of the natural subsoil, and is interpreted as probably representing the site of a building depicted on the 1st edition OS map. Finds recovered include 19th century ceramics, horse bones, glass and building materials.
